Our Story

Ginger was a puppy when we brought her home.  She was the first dog that we had ever owned.  We soon realized that we had a lot to learn about owning a dog and how important nutrition was to their physical and mental well-being.

 It was while we were shopping for Ginger's dog food and treats that we came across Karma at a local pet store.  Karma had been surrendered to the pet store by her owner and was available for adoption. We were initially struck by her obvious cuteness, but it was her bold demeanor that won us over and we happily took her home.

 Ginger and Karma became fast friends and constant companions. Both dogs made a lasting impression on our lives, and we decided that it would be fitting to name our treat company after them. The image of our logo is from a photo of Ginger and Karma that I jokingly called the two-headed dog because they were both the same color and seemed to appear together as one.

 

 

Their lasting impression also led us to rescue and adopt other dogs and ultimately to operating a successful dog walking business for the past ten years. During this time, we learned the importance of quality pet food with natural ingredients, and we also came to realize that treats play an important role in a dog's life with respect to their training, motivation, and general happiness. This led us to create simple; single-ingredient freeze dried treats - starting with our beef liver - which our dogs love and we hope yours will too. Simple ingredients, honestly sourced, made by people who actually walk dogs for a living.
